 Dear Ms. Cusack:

      I am writing to you with regard to the David Berkowitz Journal/Book which is in the process of being published.  I think it is important that I send to you a copy of the Publishing Agreement that was signed by both myself and Lawrence Jordan of Morning Star Communications of New York City.

     I believe there was some incorrect information presented to the media.  But both the publisher and I have every intention to fully comply with Executive Law 632a.

     I have no desire to financially profit from my past crimes, and I am more than willing to provide whatever financial compensation that becomes available from the sale of this book to my victims.

     Therefore I have taken the liberty to enclose a copy of the Publishing Agreement.  Please allow your legal staff to go over this document.  And if you have any further questions, I would be more than willing to answer them.

     Be advised, however, that certain portions of the Agreement may be changed or modified as time goes on.   But the part concerning profits being designated to the NYS Crime Victims Board will not.

 A STATEMENT OF FACT--UPDATE

David Berkowitz is not allowed access to the internet.  He is not allowed to own or operate a web site.  The forgivenforlife.com site was owned and operated by a church.  David has the right to communicate to his friends on the outside, and those friends have the right to publish those communications on the internet.

Since 1998, a Church whose pastor recognized the importance of David's testimony, owned and operated a website, forgivenforlife.com, and published David's Prison Journal on it.  In recent months, the ownership and operation of that website was thrown into confusion, and the site suffered abandonment.

On 6/6/06  (an interesting date), the site was pulled off line for a few days, and then rescued by "strangers".

This state of affairs has been  extremely troubling to David Berkowitz.  The abandonment of forgivenforlife.com for several months, it's going off-line on a date noted for the works of the Devil, and the questionable circumstances surrounding its "change of ownership" (especially into non-Christian hands) was never anticipated by David Berkowitz and is a highly distressing

set of circumstances.

In June, 2008, the forgivenforlife.com website was pulled offline and the name put up for sale.  The entire written and photographic contents of that site, are now available elsewhere, and are  the sole personal property of David Berkowitz.  The entire Prison Journal of David Berkowitz is David Berkowitz' Christian testimony.  Every word of it is poured forth from the heart of a man who once dived a thousand miles into Hell and wore the devil's chains around his mind and soul, and then repented and received the glorious redemption offered to repentant sinners everywhere by our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. 

There is now more than one site carrying David Berkowitz' Prison Journal, and other interesting items concerning his life. Never again will the words of his testimony be hindered or bound or threatened or endangered in any way.
